This research overview lays the foundation for our Learning Differences Research Series, conducted with funding provided in part by Oak Foundation. It details our eight-month collaborative multi-case study exploring how learner-centered environments work with young people with learning differences across three diverse settings. The overview presents our research design, data collection methods, and collaborative approach with 16 practitioner-researchers. Readers will find detailed profiles of each participating site, where 29–76% of learners have IEPs across urban, suburban, and rural contexts.
This foundational document provides essential context for understanding the study’s scope and methodology. For the complete series and detailed findings, visit our Learning Differences page.
