Education Reimagined and Arizona State University’s Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation are launching the first joint, microcredentialed course on learner-centered education, designed for educators, youth-serving professionals, and leaders nationwide.
A Practitioner’s Approach to Learner-Centered Education is a five-week, fully online course that introduces the elements and practices of learner-centered education, and supports participants in creating an actionable plan for their own context. The experience combines multimedia content, short reflections, and optional live sessions for connection and discussion.
As a result of this course, participants will be able to:
- Explore what is possible in education and discover what learner-centered environments and practices have already unlocked for young people across the country.
- Gain proficiency in a national learner-centered framework designed to foster learning that is holistic, centered on relationships, and responsive to the interests and needs of young people and communities.
- Connect with others in service of creating more holistic outcomes and learning experiences for every young person.
- Create an action plan that directs your insights and the national framework toward a more learner-centered environment and community.
