Organizing Engagement

Organizing Engagement is an online publication dedicated to advancing knowledge, understanding, and practice at the intersection of education organizing, engagement, and equity.

With support from the Nellie Mae Education Foundation, Organizing Engagement is designed as a living, breathing framework that centers organizing as building power; engagement as sharing power; and equity as equalizing power. Weaving together interviews, introductions, profiles, and other informative content from over 100 content contributors (and counting), the publication democratizes access to a curated library of powerful ideas, insights, models, documented experiences, strategies, and approaches with the goal of advancing educational equity.

Organizing Engagement knows every community has unique needs and does not intend for any of their resources to be used as a pre-packaged solution to one challenge or another. Rather, they encourage educators, young people, leaders, practitioners, and organizers within each individual community to use Organizing Engagement’s content as “starting points for strategic thinking or as tools for ongoing dialogue.” To gain a more holistic understanding of their work, start here.
