Stuff You Should Know

In education, it can be daunting when we are faced with the responsibility to expose young learners to everything the world has to offer. Of course, when given the support to explore the world on their own, young learners more naturally discover their interests and passions.

And, we don’t have to know anything about the topics they latch onto. One resource that can aid in this exposure is the Stuff You Should Know podcast by Stuff Media. From 15-minute shorts to hour-long deep dives, the podcast has spent over a decade exploring topics that range from the physics of ballpoint pens to the political battles of gerrymandering to how people live in America without a bank account. The hosts keep things light-hearted and appropriate for all ages, so the next time a young learner asks you about how the Secret Service works, you can point them here.
